Our client, a well-established chartered accountancy practice, has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced Tax Manager to join their team in Grantham.
Reporting into their Tax Director, who looks after high nett work clients, you will be responsible for providing specialist tax advice and planning for a portfolio of clients and special projects. In short there is a broad range of meaty work for you to sink your teeth into technically including trust work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with and answering queries from team members to include tax compliance advice.
- Undertaking ad hoc tax projects / advisory work either for the existing client portfolio or for other clients.
- Managing all work and billing within a portfolio and project work, ensuring budgets are met.
- Providing advice and assistance to team members.
You will be expected to keep up to date with all changes relating to tax regulations, identify business opportunities, assist with the development of member of staff within the tax team and build / maintain strong client relationships.
The successful Tax Manager will be ATT and/or CTA qualified or equivalent with a detailed knowledge of UK tax legislation and implications for clients and able to actively manage their own workload and take responsibility for own development.
Experience of running a portfolio of wealthy clients, looking after their personal tax matters, researching any queries, and presenting for review is a must – trust experience would be useful to provide support to the Trust Tax work. Previous supervisory experience is essential, and you must be able to hit the ground running.
